Beau Brooks Howell
Hailing from the hardcore gangster land of Pleasanton, California, I grew up as thug as I could possibly be. This mainly consisted of listening to Snoop Dog and Dr. Dre on my walk man while walking to school. One summer day between 6th and 7th grade, I saw Green Day's video on MTV for their song Basket Case. I no longer wanted to be a gangster rapper. I now wanted to play guitar. That Christmas my mom got me a guitar and I have not put it down for over 15 years. I began writing my own music a couple years after learning how to play and in the past 6 years have been developing my sound and style. For my 28th birthday, my Grandmother bought me a Boss RC-50 loopstation and I have now channeled that sound and style into the music I play today. I mainly perform instrumental acoustic music with some songs containing lyrics and melodies. Using the loopstation, I am able to transform myself into multiple musicians providing a unique musical experience. The purpose of my music is to help people open up to their true divine connection. A connection that is not controlled by ideals, conceptualizations, or the agendas of man. A connection we all once felt but were quickly taught was evil because it provided us the opportunity of self empowerment rather than some institution bridging an imaginary gap to their limited, controlled concept of truth.
